General Condition
All surfaces must be structurally sound, dry, clean, and free from oil, grease, wax, dust, and other contaminants. All surfaces should be dampened using a sponge or cloth immediately before appli-cation. Very porous surfaces should be properly primed to ensure adhesion.
Concrete Surfaces
Remove all release agents, especially on tilt-up slabs. New concrete must be cured for at least 28 days before application. Steel trowel finished concrete should be acid-etched or wire brushed prior to tiling.
Rendered Surfaces
Newly rendered surfaces must be cured for at least 7 days before application. Painted surfaces must be scrubbed or abraded to expose at least 75% clean surfaces.

Add (1) 25kg bag of SikaTile® 390 Heavy Duty Tile Adhesive to approximately 5.5 to 6 liters of clean water, mixing continuously until a lump-free, creamy consistency is achieved.

Prepare the adhesive as instructed. Allow the mix to stand for 1 to 2 minutes, then remix before use. Spread adhesive onto the substrate using: 6mm x 6mm notched trowel for wall tiling. 10mm x 10mm notched trowel for floor tiling. Trowel size depends on tile size, depth of knobs, grooves, or ridges on tile back, substrate evenness. For tiles with deep grooves or ridges (e.g., slate or lugged tiles), butter coat adhesive on the back of the tile in addition to notched trowel application. Thicker adhe-sive beds help compensate for uneven substrates, especially slates. Do not spread more than 1 sqm of adhesive at a time. Ensure adhesive remains wet when tiles are laid and tapped into position for full contact. Ensure no voids under tiles. Do not allow adhesive to skin over before tiling. Install tiles within the open time specified. Do not disturb or walk on tiles for 24 hours after installation. Grout-ing should preferably be carried out at least 24 hours after the completion of tiling. For best results use SikaTile® Grout.

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened or cured materials can be only mechanically removed.
