Sikalastic®-530 PH is a liquid-applied polyurethane-containing elastomeric seamless waterproofing membrane. Moisture-cured characteristics ensure that further works can be carried out at a shorter time once the membrane has dried out.

Application

Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

  • All surfaces to be treated must be as clean and dry as possible. It may be necessary to wire brush areas where dirt or scale cannot be removed, with a stiff broom. Moisture is recommended to be <4% pbw.
  • Check surface for cracks, splits, flashing, coverings,
  • etc. where cracks exceed 1mm, crack must be re-paired. It also recommended to use fabric matting, followed by a liberal application of Sikalastic®-530 PH.
  • For reduction in blistering and better adhesion to concrete substrate, prime area with Sikalastic® -500 Acrylic Primer prior to application.
  • Proper slope to drain must be provided for the system as to prevent extensive ponding on Sikalastic®-530 PH

APPLICATION

  1. Sikalastic®-530 PH should be applied directly from the pail.
  2. Apply one coat Sikalastic®-530 PH to the whole area and allow to cure, approx. 2-4 hours. 
  3. Apply the 2nd coat of Sikalastic®-530 PH in a perpendicular direction to 1st coat.
  4. All joints on floors should preferably be treated with additional coat of Sikalastic®-530 PH and appropriate joint solutions (e.g. Sikaflex®)
  5. Ponding test should be carried out at least 48 hours after the final application of Sikalastic®-530 PH
