Application steps

SUBSTRATE QUALITY

  • The substrate must be sound and free from irregularities, sharp projections, loose particles, oil, grease, coating, moss, mold, and any foreign matter
  • Surface must have sufficient slope to avoid water ponding 
  • Any voids or potholes must be filled with approved repair material (e.g. Lanko®, SikaTop®)
  • The area must be dry.
  • If the surface is cementitious, it must be sufficiently cured. 

APPLICATION

Priming:

  • Please consult with technical team for primer layer. Generally:
  • For old concrete, it is recommended to use approved Sikalastic® or Davco® primer for acrylic liquid applied membranes
  • For steel, it is recommended to use approved Sikalastic® Metal Primer

Application:

  1. Stir Sikalastic®-510 PH well prior to use.
  2. Once the substrate is prepared, spread Sikalastic®-510 PH onto the substrate using roller, brush, or airless spray.
  3. Allow the previous coat to dry prior to application of the next coat.
  4. Apply the next coat of Sikalastic®-510 PH. Add additional coats if needed and if reinforced.
