In hot ambient temperatures and windy outdoor environments, the screed should be protected from direct sunlight and cured with appropriate curing compounds to prevent rapid or excessive moisture loss and cracking.

1 bag will cover approximately 2.2 m² to 2.5 m² per 10 mm thickness

Remove all dust, oil, and debris. Dampen the dry concrete surface before application of SikaScreed®-196. For old worn-out substrate, the surface should be hacked off and primed with a bonding agent before applying SikaScreed®-196.

Add 25 kg of SikaScreed®-196 to 3 liters to 5 liters (13 % to 15 %) of water. Mix with paddle mixer for 3 minutes to 5 minutes until the desired homogeneous mix is achieved. Ensure that it is free of lump before use.

Ensure that the substrate is damp and clean without any ponding water. Compact and finish SikaScreed®-196 in accordance with standard practice by using a wooden float or steel trowel where appropriate.
