SikaPlast®-2000 P-4 GN

3rd Generation Low-mid Range Superplasticizer

SikaPlast -2000 P4 GN is a third generation low-mid range superplasticizer for concrete and mortar. It meets the requirements for superplasticizers according to ASTM C494 type G.

SikaPlast-2000 P4 GN acts by different mechanisms. Through surface absorption and sterical separation effect on the cement particles, in parallel to the hydration process, the following properties are obtained:
  • High water reduction (resulting in high density and strengths).
  • Excellent flowability (resulting highly reduced placing and compacting efforts).

Usage

SikaPlast-2000 P4 GN is suitable for the production of site mixed as well as ready-mix concrete. SikaPlast-2000 P4 GN is used for concrete with extended transportation or placing time. SikaPlast-2000 P4 GN is facilitates good water reduction, excellent flow properties, optimal cohesion and highest self-compacting behaviour. SikaPlast-2000 P4 GN is used for the following types of concrete:
  • Hot weather concrete and concrete with extended transportation - or placing time
  • Concrete with highest water reduction     (10-15% typical)
  • High strength concrete.
  • Grade 20-40mpa low medium-high workability concrete, 75 mm - 200 mm slump
High water reduction and excellent flow ability have a positive influence on the above mention applications

Application Information

Dispensing

SikaPlast-2000 P4 GN is added to the gauging water or simultaneously when it poured into the concrete mixer. For optimum utilization of the high water reduction we recommend thorough mixing at a minimal wet mixing of 60 seconds.The addition of the remaining gauging water – to fine tune concrete consistency may only be started after 2/3 of the wet mixing time, to avoid surplus water in the concrete.
