Sika® MRA

Emulsion-based mould release agent

A carefully blended combination of refined mineral oils and emulsifying agents, producing a thin film stable release agent.

Sika® MRA provides the following properties:
  • Good adhesion to the formwork
  • Does not re-emulsify
  • Undisturbed by concrete
  • Reduces concrete contamination
  • Non-inflammable
  • MRA is suitable for use on all type of formwork
  • All tools can be cleaned with water
  • It is an effective rust inhibitor

Usage

Sika® MRA, when applied to steel, plastic and timber formwork, allows clean, fast and easy striking.

Application steps

APPLICATION

One coat application by brush, roller or spray. Sika® MRA is ready to use and requires no mixing but adequate stirring is advisable. New formwork should be kept dry after Sika® MRA has been applied, it should be protected from rain. Do not water the applied coating even if the surface is dry. Sika® MRA should be allowed to dry before concreting takes place.

Cleaning

Clean all tools, equipment and hands with water.
